dc.description.abstract | The present note is devoted to find out the possibility of propagation of bye waves in a heterogeneous layer of finite depth lying on a homogeneous semi-infinite elastic medium, the rigidity and density in the upper layer varying as (1 - sin e; z), where 0( is a constant and z is the vertical distance from the interface.
