dc.description.abstract | Dawu is a village in Akuapim District of the Gold Coast Colony. It is situated on the mountain range at the eastern end of the District and is the tenth town counting from Aburi. The village was settled by the Kyerepongs who are one of the three tribes driven south by the Bantu race. It seems to be properly placed for it receives a cool north easterly wind and land breeze in the afternoons. Because of the mountains there is heavy dew drops in the morning. | en_US |
