Abstract

This paper discussed the role journals play in the development of emerging LIS scholars. It describes the characterisfic;3<f:le.merging LIS scholars and concludes that editors are not doing enough to encourage emerging scholars in LIS. The paper recommends that there is a need for LIS Professional associations to provide an enabling environment for emerging LIS scholars in Nigeria.
