Abstract

One of the outcomes arising out of the Legon-Trondheim Linguistics Project was a number of studies carried out on the adjective as a word class in the languages of the Volta Basin. Generally, it has been established that these languages have lexical items that could be classified as such, though the number in each language differs. The studies have looked at the morphology and syntax of adjectives and this paper provides an overview of the research done on adjectives and qualification in the languages.
