Abstract
Teacher education is very paramount for national development and thus the quality of
teacher education should be of great concern to all stakeholders. Proper and adequate
educational facilities are critically important if teacher education will achieve its larger goal
of training and preparing the right calibre of teachers who are competent, dedicated and
committed to handle the educational needs of Ghana. Key among such required facilities
is a functional library. A library is a collection of both published and unpublished books
and other materials which are well organized, with competent staff who can assist users to
meet their information needs (Ogbebor, 2011).
