Spontaneous haemoperitoneum in pregnancy, more especially idiopathic ones are rare and can be life threatening. We present a case of a 30 year old pregnant woman who at 29 weeks gestation developed spontaneous haemoperitoneum. An exploratory laparotomy was done which did not reveal the source of the bleeding. She subsequently had conservative management as an inpatient until term when she had elective caesarean section. A review of the literature was undertaken.en_US
