dc.description.abstractThis chapter traces the history and development of education for Libraries. Archives and Information Studies in Ghana. It provides the circumstance that led to various changes in the names, curricula and programmes in the Department as well as challenges faced by the Department in developing the profession in Ghana. The writers are of the view that the Department has made a lot of impact on the profession, internationally and nationally and changing conditions might require more adaptations to the curriculum in the future.en_US
