The introduction to this essay is intended to give an insight into its nature of the area under survey. I am deliberately attempting this because it is my conviction that the mode of life of any one community depends to a large extend on the nature of the country in which the people live and to some degree on the contacts they make with people of their immediate surroundings and with the outside world. Knowledge of the conditions obtaining there will help one to appreciate to the full the many problems that have influenced in the past and still continue to affect the training of a child in that community.en_US
