Inside Ghana’s Prisons

Abstract

In this article, the author talks about who are in Ghana’s prisons, the reasons why they are there, the bad conditions under which they live and proposes some changes that could better the lot of both prisoners and society at large. He draws on a case handled by Legal Resource Center, a Ghana based, NGO that offers free legal services.
