Abstract

According to Dixon (2004) languages distinguish easily between verbs and nouns but not adjectives. This means that in some languages words which express adjectival concepts are either derived words or belong to a different class. This situation possibly informs Welmers (1973) to warn that one should be circumspect in making judgements about words which are adjectives and those which are not because according to him “what one may consider an adjective may not be an adjective after all.” This paper seeks to find out if there is an adjective class in Logba
