This study examined the perceived effects of work-related stressors on the lecturers at the University of Ghana. Four hundred and thirty two lecturers were drawn from Legon and Korle-Bu Campuses of the University. The Teacher Stress Inventory was used for data collection. ANOVA, MANOVA and Independent Sample t tests were used to analyze the data. Analyses of the data revealed that the lecturers in general perceive moderate signs of stress. The commonly reported signs included psychological and social whilst the least were the workout put and physical signs. Sex did not have an influence on the signs. Junior lecturers had more stress signs than the senior lecturers and professors. Lecturers in School of Administration perceived most stress signs whilst those in Science Faculty had the least. Recommendations were on screening most lecturers with the Teacher Stress Inventory, organizing stress management workshops for them and improving on their conditions of work.en_US
