Report on a Visit to Nigeria –November to December 1945

Abstract

I visited Nigeria during November and December, 1945 with instructions: to report on such of the Department of Agriculture's recent work as would be of interest and instruction to ourselves in framing our plans of research and development., It was hope that in matters of research we might be able to avoid the duplication of effort . which has been an unfortunate feature or past work in the Wes t African Colonies; that t in developing internal markets each colony should be aware of the work done by the other and that there should be collusion in the production and marketing of any product for which there Was a ready place in the .world -market
