| dc.description.abstract | This article examines the charge of mass treason made by the soviet government against the Crimean Tatars in May, 1944. It also examines the soviet decision making process regarding the wholesale deportation of the Crimean Tatars to Utbekistan and the Vrals on 18-20th May, 1944. It concludes that the Soviet government first decided to deport the Crimean Tatar and then made the charges of treason without any substantial evidence. | en_US |
