dc.description.abstract | This study examines the implementation challenges of small-scale mining laws in the Bekwai Municipality of Ghana. The study adopted the qualitative approach using a case study design. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Among others, this study found that illegal mining is a formidable challenge to the implementation of small-scale mining laws in the Bekwai Municipality. The study also found that scarcity of logistical and human resources undermines the implementation of small-scale mining laws in the Municipality. © 2016, © The Author(s) 2016. | en_US |
