dc.description.abstract | Implications • COVID-19 has affected the importation of animals and livestock products into Ghana with the potential of lowering the consumption of animal protein. • There has been a reduction in the availability of feed re sources and farm inputs for animal production, leading to price increases. • Animal production activities, including feeding, man agement, and disease control, have been adversely af fected as a result of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. • Capacity building programs in animal breeding have had challenges as a result of restrictions, leading to the rescheduling of most programs. | en_US |
