Abstract
The original home of the Adangmes is said to have been at same, an island south of the River Niger, locally known as Ogun, After wandering in the Yoruba Country and at Dahomey, they were eventually crossed the Volta at Hume. In crossing they were helped by ''Agorkpa'' whom they alleged to be a man but traditional meaning being 'the truck of the Agor Palm.
