dc.description.abstractIn this paper, various stylistic techniques and practices that distinguish the sub-types of Nigerian gospel music are highlighted and classified. The data was collected through the discography method, then the data was collated and analyzed. This paper asserts that singing style constitutes a distinguishing factor in Nigerian gospel music while the performance practices forms one of the determinants of the African-ess of the genre. The hermeneutics of this great music are also examined in the paper.en_US
