The study sought to ascertain the challenges and benefits of library automation and to recommend how the challenges could be addressed. The study employed single case study techniques as the research design. Semi-structured interview was used for the data gathering. Data was qualitatively analysed using a thematic approach. It highlights retrospective conversion, lack of local experts, lack of trained staffs, unstable power supply, desert of job, attitudinal problems as the challenges confronting the library. The study also shows that as a result of automation, the library is faster and efficient than before in its operations.en_US
