This volume is the complement of Religion and Medicine of the Ga People, and will not be understood except in reference to that. The Ga are not one people. Each town is an independent republic, having its own unique constitution which has grown out of its own unique history. By intermarriage and proximity the different peoples have come to have a language and many everyday customs in common. Part I of this volume is concerned with these common customs. Part II deals with the history of the constitution of each town separately.en_US
