A comparative bibliographic study is carried out on the aetiology of psychological disorders, preferred treatment options and the link, if any, with religion in the Ghanaian setting. The common thread in all these empirical studies is that indeed the Ghanaian is religious and esteems religion highly in all aspects of life, especially in health-seeking behaviours. However, there is a seemingly unclear relationship between religion and psychological disorders per se. Implications of these findings in the literature are discussed.en_US
