Abstract

This document is a revised 1889 edition of the New Testament translated from the original Greek into the Akra or Ga language by J. Zimmermann. It was published in Basel by the Evangelical Missionary Society and the Basel Bible Society. The introductory pages include a pronunciation guide for the Ga language using the Standard Alphabet of Dr. Lepsius, explaining vowel and consonant sounds, tones, and nasalization. The text also contains a table of contents listing the books of the New Testament and their respective chapter counts, beginning with the Gospels and ending with Revelation
