dc.description.abstractExamined in this study is the extent to which the tourism sector has contributed to the economy of Ghana, using the concept of implementation as the theoretical framework. The paper begins by providing an overview of theoretical considerations underlying tourism policy using an implementation model. The scholarly arguments surrounding the concept of tourism are then dissected. An assessment of policy interventions to boost the tourism industry is done. The study reveals that the tourism sector has made significant contribution to the economy of Ghana, though certain challenges persist. The paper recommends that robust policies be designed and effectively implemented to enhancing tourism development in Ghana.en_US
