Cri du Chat Syndrome (CdCS) is rare and occurs as a result of a partial deletion in the short arm of chromosome 5. There are no reports in the literature from the West African sub-region and indeed very few from Africa. A case of Cri du Chat Syndrome is described in Ghana. Dysmorphology training is strongly recommended for post graduate training programmes in the sub-region.All children with dysmorphic features deserve an accurate diagnosis to enable helpful genetic counseling and prognosis to be determined.en_US
