Children’s literature in Ghana: A survey

Abstract

We explore the development of children’s literature in Ghana beginning with its roots in traditional literature in the pre-colonial era, to its transformation since colonial times. We look at its range, nature and character in order to expose the reader to the broader scope of activity in children’s literature in Ghana.
