The Volta River Project (I) Report of the Preparatory Commission

Abstract

This report is made by the Preparatory Commission which was set up in 1953 to carry forward the work which had already been done in investigating the Volta River Project, and to advance the planning of the scheme to a stage where a decision could be made whether it should be undertaken. 2. The report is supported by sixteen appendices which are being published simultaneously in a separate volume. A list of them will be found at page xv of this volume. 3. The Engineering Report of the consulting engineers, Sir William Halcrow & Partners, is also being published separately.
