dc.description.abstract"Brain Drain" with particular reference to medical practitioners in Ghana was the theme for the 41st Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Association held at Ho in November 1999. Various speakers analysed the problem from their perspective. These included pharmacists, nurses, health administrators, trainers and providers. A key message of the Dean of the University of Ghana Medical, during the 17'" Swearing-in Ceremony for newly qualified doctors and dentists touched on the same problem. Indeed Professor D. Adzei Bekoe, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, made one of the most precise analyses of the situation in his keynote address at this same functionen_US
