Abstract

Dragonflies have been recommended for habitat quality assessment and monitoring. The University of Ghana, Legon Campus dragonfly fauna was assessed and their conservation status evaluated. The water bodies present were assessed and found to serve as breeding sites of the dragonflies. Twenty six dragonfly species belonging to three families were recorded making up 23.6% of the country’s total dragonfly fauna. Based on these, management strategies were recommended for the area.
