dc.description.abstract | Graphene has been hailed as a material with extraordinary properties capable of transforming many scientific and industrial fields. In this work, the vector H-field finite element method is used in the characterization of a graphene cladded fibre. Results are presented on the modal analysis of various types of graphene cladded optical fibres. Such fibres may find use as nonlinear elements in linear pulse compression schemes for ultra fast pulse generation. | en_US |
