Abstract
Apam is bounded on the North by Gomua Assin, on the South by the Atlantic Ocean, on the East by Efutu Along the sea-board it is about three miles from Mumford and about nine miles from Winneba. Tradition has it that the original settlers of Apam were the Kpeshi tribe, and Apam was named after the Sekumo Lagoon. They were forced to desert this area by invading forces of Fantis from the West. This is said to have taken place during the 15th century.
