This patient was managed in the previous era of tuberculosis programme when he was treated for over a decade with varying and inappropriate drug prescribing pattern. erratic supply of drugs, poor compliance and introduction to all the drugs in the anti -TB armamentarium. Despite recent intensive directly observed and supervised therapy with streptomycin. rifampicin. ethambutol, pyrazinamide and isoniazid he did not clinically improve.
