One of such problems he may face arise from the fact that some words or phrases provide various meanings in different communicating situations and finding equivalence becomes a problem. The purpose of this study is to investigate the issue of grammatical and structural equivalence in translation. A text translated from French into English will serve as our corpus for examining the forms of equivalence. This analysis is done from a linguistics perspective using Gorge Yule (1988) and from a translation perspective using the views of Mildred L. Larson (1984) and Mona Baker (1992, 1998) as a theoretical framework. It includes a main corpus and three control corpora. The study investigates the issue of grammatical and structural equivalence including the findings and recommendations.105p: illenTranslationEnglishGouvernance DansSecteur Minier Comme FacteurA Translation into English of: “La Bonne Gouvernance Dans Le Secteur Minier Comme Facteur De Croissnace En Drc”ThesisUniversity of Ghana
