dc.description	The interview was recorded at the New York, on July 30, 1997. The Interviewer was Jean Krasno Blanca Antonini is a visiting professor at the Master’s Programme for International Studies of the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has had an extensive United Nations (UN) career in the area of peace and security, with particular focus on the Americas and the Balkans. She was in charge of the Americas section in the Americas and Europe Division of the UN Department of Political Affairs and in the Electoral Assistance Division, from where she provided advice to MINUSTAH’s electoral division in 2004 and 2005. Prior to that, she played an active role in peace negotiations and in the verification of agreements in El Salvador. In the Balkans, she was a member of the Joint Group that negotiated the Constitutional Framework for Provisional Self-government Institutions in Kosovo and the director of the UNMIK Office in Belgrade. She is the author of several works, including the section on El Salvador in The UN Security Council from the Cold War to the 21st Century (Lynne Rienner, 2004); she was the editor of Security Council Resolutions under Chapter VII: The cases of Afghanistan, Cote d’Ivoire, Kosovo and Sierra Leone, a study sponsored by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Relations (FRIDE, 2009); and has written several works in Spanish on peace, security and international co-operation.	en_US
